He speaks and I pretend to listen watching his lips reading his breath

All of his words are important I can tell by the way he arches his eyebrow

He stops I think it’s my turn I say yes because for him it’s always yes

He begins again licks his lips and shoots a wink I wish I could hear him

Touching my shoulder while saying goodbye I melt inside my toes are stuck

Talk to you later I say the door closes and the sounds return
